This warranty information relates to Yuasa automotive, commercial vehicle, motorcycle and powersport, leisure, marine and garden batteries only. For industrial batteries please click here
The guarantee period should be confirmed by the distributor to the purchaser at the time of purchase. In the event of such a battery claim, the battery should be returned with proof of purchase to the original Yuasa distributor/reseller for testing. Should the tests confirm a fault, then the battery will be exchanged free of charge.
• The distributor has the right to test and if necessary, charge the battery before agreeing to the claim
• This does not affect the statutory rights of the customer in any way
• The guarantee is valid only for the purchaser of the battery, and is not transferable
• The guarantee period runs from the date of purchase of the original battery.
Important – Exclusions
This guarantee excludes batteries fitted as Original Equipment or used on the following applications:-

| PSV (Passenger Service vehicles) | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |

| Lawnmowers | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Electrically-powered wheel chairs | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Electrically- powered bicycles/tricycles | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Electric Fences | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Televisions | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Golf Trolleys and Buggies | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| Emergency lighting | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials | |
| other non-automotive usageincluding standby | 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials |
This guarantee does not cover:
• Consequential loss
• Sulphation
• Wear and tear
• Deep cycling
• Overcharging
• Physical damage
• Incorrect application
• Overdischarging
The guarantee period is deemed to start for a:
• Original battery: From date of purchase
• Free replacement battery: From date of purchase of the original battery
This guarantee obligation excludes:
• Failure resulting from the wear and tear, misuse and negligence either before or during use. Examples are overcharging, deep cycling, sulphation and undercharging
• Failure resulting from the use of any fluids other than distilled or deionised water, or from any action not recommended for Yuasa Batteries
• Use of a battery type on a vehicle for which it is not recommended, or on which it has been installed and commissioned incorrectly
• No guarantee claim will be actioned without a dated proof of purchase
