Spring awakening for the bikes: With this 6-point plan, the start of the season won’t be a battery false start

Motorradtourismus and GS YUASA: Ideal partners for relaxed motorbike holidays

The next motorbike season is fast approaching. To ensure that fun and relaxation are not neglected, a safety check is due before every ride, but especially before the first of the season. GS YUASA reveals in a clear six-point plan what needs to be observed to protect against nasty surprises. This is how to make your motorbike holiday a success.

Spring is coming and the first tours with the motorbike are on the agenda. After the winter break, it’s important to do a few checks. Nothing is more unpleasant than breaking down – possibly in a deserted area or somewhere abroad. This can even be dangerous and the fun is definitely over. GS YUASA has drawn up a checklist for avoiding breakdowns and accidents.

The 6 Bs for relaxed riding pleasure:

  • Brakes – is the brake fluid in order and is the filling level correct? All other fluids need a check-up at the same time (oil, hydraulics). Are the hoses tight? Is the braking force correct?
  • Bright lighting – are the bulbs OK? All lines without defects?
  • Bold tyres” – tread depth, air pressure, valve caps should be checked!
  • Body safety – no body protects you in a fall: from helmet to boots, suitable and well-fitting functional clothing should adequately protect the body.
  • Battery check – a weakening battery is a nightmare. A dead battery is a disaster. Here’s a tip: The intelligent charger YCX1.5 from GS YUASA optimises the battery care process with a fully automatic 7-step charging and maintenance process.
  • Booking accommodation – Here, too, GS YUASA has an insider tip: The “Motorcycle Tourism” cooperation consists of hoteliers who have specialised in the needs of bikers. In addition to bike set-up facilities, they also offer support if something breaks down, give tips for excursions, show tours for all requirements and are there to help their guests in word and deed. GS YUASA offers courses on how to handle batteries in the hotels of the cooperation on request, provides information material and welcomes the guests with goodie bags in their rooms. Even replacement batteries can be found on site or procured quickly.
