At DEG’s ice hockey game against EHC Munich in Dusseldorf on April 1, GS YUASA officially announced its partnership with DEG. The battery manufacturer not only cooperates with the ice hockey club on the sporting side, but also supports Dusseldorf Child Protection Association.
“The partnership with DEG is very important to us because it combines sporting commitment with charity for children. After all, the strongest members of our society have the task of taking responsibility for the weakest. A good team that sticks together, keeps its goal in mind and gets back up even after a defeat is needed in sports as in real life“, said Raphael Eckert, General Manager Sales & Marketing Components at GS YUASA Battery Germany GmbH.
GS YUASA already participated in DEG’s “Helmet Heroes” campaign at the last ice hockey game and bought a helmet with the inscription GS YUASA-DEG-KSB at auction, which DEG players wore during the game. The amount of 1000 euros will be donated directly to the Dusseldorf Child Protection Association
As part of the club’s partnership with the battery manufacturer, the DEG team bus will also be powered by a high-performance YUASA battery in the future, among others.
