AGM battery for vehicles with auxiliary battery system

With the AGM auxiliary battery YBXAX14, GS YUASA supplies all vehicles which are equipped with a modern auxiliary battery system. In terms of quality, performance and specifications, the battery was developed according to original equipment (OE) specifications.

Auxiliary batteries provide power to additional electrical loads in the vehicle such as the on-board electrical or computer management system. The YBXAX14 delivers optimised charging capacities and a long service life, is completely maintenance-free and is provided fully charged and ready for installation. The 12 V battery has a capacity of 12Ah (at 20-hour rate) and a cold-start capability of 200A.

Their 6 mm vent hole in the lid allows a vent hose to be fitted according to OE specifications, so that the auxiliary battery can be safely replaced in the vehicle. Thanks to its leak-proof design without free acid, the battery offers maximum safety.

“The YBXAX14 is by far the most important type of auxiliary battery. In Europe, there are around 970,000 vehicles and 432 models equipped with such a battery. The auxiliary battery is used primarily in vehicles from Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Its main task is to provide an emergency power source for the Sensotronic Brake Control (electro-hydraulic brake) as well as to support electrical loads in emission-reduction models that use micro-hybrid technologies (at Mercedes). In addition, the battery predominantly supports the power needs of Integral Active Steering systems in models with heavy front axle loads (at BMW).
