Riders Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró gear up for new MotoGP season powered by Yuasa.
Yuasa are proud to continue their successful partnership with HRC Repsol Honda Team and six-time MotoGP champion Marc Márquez for the 2021 season. The world’s leading battery manufacturer also looks forward to powering rider Pol Espargaró, as he joins the team.
Since becoming a major sponsor of HRC Repsol Honda in 2013, Yuasa have enjoyed 8 trophy laden MotoGP seasons. In 2019 Márquez made history, winning his sixth MotoGP championship. Last year Marc suffered a big accident meaning he had to watch the majority of the 2020 season from the side-lines. Although still not fully fit, the Spaniard aims to challenge for a record breaking seventh title in 2021.
Lining up alongside Marc is new teammate Pol Espargaró who joins HRC Repsol Honda from Red Bull KTM. The 29-year-old, who is also from Spain, has 118 MotoGP races under his belt with 7 podiums and finished in a very competitive fifth place in the 2020 championship. The two riders bring phenomenal talent and high hopes that aim to make the team stronger and contribute to the development of HRC.
